Quai 22

  • Office space
  • Local shops and services
  • Restaurants
  • Leisure activities
  • 1 ha of urban park and generous public spaces

Developing connections between the area's main attractions

  • Development of soft mobility: dedicated paths for cyclists and pedestrians, structuring public transport offer
  • Construction of an urban square to create links and host convivial events
  • Creation of green spaces: above-ground cultivation, planted terraces, garden above parking lots...

A project awarded the Pyramide d'Argent Special Jury Prize for “Panorama”.
9,500 sqm
of shops, services and local activities
700
housing units including 30% social housing
1 ha
of public park and 500m of developed banks
10 ha
of land to transform
This is the story of a metamorphosis. Hitherto hidden from view, the former “Rhodia” industrial wasteland is about to be given a new lease of life. A blend of city and nature, ideally located in the metropolis and integrated into its surroundings, Quai 22 will create an atmosphere that combines the effervescence of the city, the calm of the water and the serenity of the park. The public spaces, places of centrality, encounter and animation, give the neighborhood its personality. Mixed-use programming is one of Quai 22's major assets.

Acting in alliance to design a lively, authentic neighborhood
Quai 22 is the story of a private-public collective of experts and builders with complementary cultures, who decided to join forces to make new moments of life possible. The project, led by Ville Renouvelée, Nhood and Linkcity in association with the town of Saint-André-lez-Lille, has been designed in the image of its ambition: lively, a vector of links, a genuine collective reappropriation. Mixed-use, the guiding principle of the neighborhood, is reflected in the exchanges between the stakeholders who, each in their own way, have contributed to building the soul of Quai 22.

A mixed, intergenerational living space
The program includes 700 free and social housing units, 10,000 sqm of office space, 15,000 sqm of managed residences for seniors, young people and people with disabilities, over 5,000 sqm of shops, local services, restaurants, activities and leisure facilities, and a one-hectare park. The site will be ideally served by the future tramway and a High Service Level bus terminal.

A neighborhood to live in, to work in, to stroll around
Thanks to a diversified offer of housing, activities, services and generous public spaces. A place conceived and designed for all, where families, working people, residents, tourists, walkers, young people and senior citizens can all meet and live together. A blend of city and nature in a privileged setting, ideally situated in the Lille metropolitan area and integrated into its environment. An invitation to discovery, travel and contemplation. A neighborhood where you can stroll and relax, visit and enjoy the passing of time.
